December 22 2020,

Consumers interested in safety can turn to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, an organization responsible for testing new vehicle safety for the North American market. The organization puts every vehicle through a series of crash tests and evaluations before handing out various grades. The highest possible award is the Top Safety Pick+ designation which the 2021 Mazda CX-30 was handed in December.
That means that the Mazda CX-30 aced every single of the six IIHS crash tests that cover a range of different situations including roof strength and overlap collisions. The vehicle’s active safety technologies are also evaluated as is the quality of the headlights.
Mazda has earned more Top Safety Pick+ designations than any other automaker with seven TSP+ designations including all of its SUVs.
“With safety a top priority for Mazda, we are proud to have the CX-30 earn the 2020 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award,“ said Mazda North American Operations President Jeff Guyton. “Mazda is committed to providing the most advanced safety technologies in all of our vehicles. We continually strive to challenge ourselves to create products and technologies, that provide our customers a confident and joyful driving experience.“
