The Civic sedan lineup also has a base 2.0L four cylinder with similar horsepower, but noticeably less torque (138 lb-ft).
For drivers who want a little more, the Mazda3 GT features a 2.5-litre four-cylinder that produces 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. This bests the Civic sedan's most powerful engine. However, the Mazda3 has even more to uncover.
The Mazda3 also offers a turbocharged 2.5L which delivers up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. If you want something even more sporty, Mazda also offers the Mazda3 Sport 5-door that also features a turbo model.
