Kicking things off with a powertrain overhaul, the 2024 CX-30 retires its former Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter engine in favour of a more robust Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter engine with cylinder deactivation. This new powerhouse generates 191 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, marking a significant 28 percent horsepower bump and improvements in fuel efficiency.
CX-30 GX - $28,150
The entry-level GX trim equips the aforementioned 2.5-liter engine and couples it with a six-speed automatic transmission featuring manual-shift mode and drive selection switch. It comes standard with i-Activ AWD, a system that optimizes wheel power distribution for immediate driver input responsiveness. Safety is reinforced by standard features like Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Interior amenities include an 8.8-inch center display, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an eight-speaker Mazda Harmonic Acoustics sound system.

The GT model gets a major auditory upgrade thanks to a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system.
