Pricing announced for the 2023 Mazda3 and Mazda3 Sport

Mazda has announced pricing and trims info for the 2023 Mazda3. The Japanese automaker has also announced some significant improvements for its popular compact sedan and hatchback.
2023 Mazda3 models with front-wheel drive will start at $21,600, while models with all-wheel drive will start at $27,900. Mazda will launch its 2023 Mazda3 Sport this fall at a starting price of $22,600, followed by the 2023 Mazda3 sedan this winter.
More power for the 2023 Mazda3
Let's look at the improvements made to the 2023 Mazda3, starting under the hood. The renowned 2.5-liter, four-cylinder SKYACTIV-G engine powering the Mazda3 has been significantly enhanced for 2023. With 191 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, this powertrain is significantly more powerful than the competition. In addition, this engine includes an improved cylinder deactivation system for even greater efficiency.
Thanks to these improvements, the 2023 Mazda3 will average just 6.4 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway, and offer a combined fuel economy rating of just 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers. Both the 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines will be available in the Mazda3 GS trim. A six-speed manual or automatic transmission can be paired with either engine.
