The 2016 Mazda CX-9's Comeback
Well, it seems like full-size SUV is making a comeback, and Mazda’s ready to take on the segment with a real winner in the all-new and redesigned 2016 CX-9.

Over the years, smaller vehicles have taken the limelight in the auto industry. Most notably: crossovers and compact crossovers. So, vehicles like full-size, three-rowed SUVs, like the Mazda CX-9, kind of faded into the background and were forgotten… for a little while.

Ready for the Spotlight

Well, it seems like full-size SUV is making a comeback, and Mazda’s ready to take on the segment with a real winner in the all-new and redesigned 2016 CX-9. More bold and better than ever before, this three-row crossover SUV from the Japanese automaker is set to take on the best of the best, and reach the very top.

Really, Mazda’s KODO designs are just gorgeous. The 2016 CX-9 sports the “Soul of Motion” KODO design language, and it makes it instantly stick out from the masses and it makes a huge statement on the road. Featuring a bold, youthful rear end and a muscular shoulder line, the CX-9 is rife with personality and presence. This SUV isn’t just a means to haul your family and gear around, this is a lifestyle, and it shows in the design both outside and in.

The 2016 Mazda CX-9 features interior amenities such as: available Nappa leather and a rose wood trimmed centre console and door inserts (Signature model only), available 8” colour touchscreen display with MAZDA CONNECT, heated steering wheel, and an optional 12-speaker premium Bose audio system.

Because the CX-9 boasts more second and third row legroom than the new Toyota Highlander, you can be sure any and all passengers will enjoy their time in the 2016 CX-9, no matter how long the road trip happens to be.

Four models offer up distinctive exterior styling cues and different interior amenities across the 2016 Mazda CX-9 lineup. However, the same engine is on offer across the board: a SKYACTIV-G 2.5T 4-cylinder mill that produces 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The turbo is a unit Mazda calls a DPT (Dynamic Pressure Turbo) used for optimal performance and efficiency.

Mazda has Stepped Up their Game with Safety

In terms of safety, the 2016 Mazda CX-9 offers i-ACTIV AWD as standard on all models save for the base GS (optional). And included in Mazda’s i-ACTIVSENSE suite of safety features are both passive and active features designed to keep you and yours safely on the right path regardless of weather conditions and/or road conditions.
